 Kids

Here at Central we are passionate about encouraging our children to know Jesus. We don’t want them to just know about Him but to know Jesus personally.

Sunday Club

Sunday Club

Sunday Club currently meets during our Sunday morning gatherings to learn about Jesus, pray and enjoy singing together. This is for families with children aged 0-11 and is led by our fantastic team of Sunday Club leaders.

During these meetings we split into two groups, for children aged 0-4 and children aged 5-11.

As a snapshot of the kind of fun our Sunday Club team have, you can check the videos below!

Vision

Tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.
— Psalm 78:4

Vision

Our vision for our children reflects the vision of our wider church:

Encountering Jesus

In Sunday Club, we are encouraging our children to know Jesus. We don’t want them to just know about him but to know Jesus personally. We do this by sharing the Bible, interactive prayers, listening to God. We believe that God wants to share his heart with and through our kids.

Redeeming Life.

We believe that God wants our children to be the people that they were born to be. We are committed to sharing the truth about what God thinks of them. God smiles every time he thinks of each child. We endeavour to prevent our kids from making the same mistakes as we did as instructed in Psalm 78.

We want to create an environment that fosters encouragement and discipleship.

Loving Bristol.

We encourage our children to be kind to everyone they meet and show the love of Jesus in helping whoever crosses their path. We also want to support our kids to stand up for what is right in line with what the Bible says.

  • We want to help the youngest members of our church to connect with Jesus in an age appropriate way. They need to feel welcomed, safe and secure.

  • We want to have a growing community which is open to all and inclusive of every child.

  • We want to have a culture of encouraging each child each week. This teaches our children to hold each other in high esteem.

  • We are Bible based – the key point will be the main focus and pinpoint what can be shared with parents for the week. We do this by telling Bible stories and having memory verses to go alongside building bricks, playing with sand and putting salt on ice balloons to see what happens. God has given us an exciting world and the most wonderful Bible stories. The list is endless – there will never be enough time to tell and explore it all.

  • We run child led activities and opportunities that are interesting and fun. Children choose their activity and leaders/adults/parents join in.

  • We want to partner with parents to lead their children to Jesus. We want to raise up children that will raise up others in discipleship.

  • We want to be a church that prays for our children as a valued part of the wider family.

We want to ensure that our children are able to learn and grow and meet with Jesus in a way that honours them and their wellbeing. Every member of our team has gone through a safe recruitment process and has had safeguarding checks carried out. For more information on safeguarding click here.
